Our client is a Global Banking and Markets (GBM) division that provides corporate and investment banking and capital markets products and services to corporate, institutional and government clients around the world. Headquartered in North America, our client has GBM offices throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.
In 2012, GBM undertook a critical review of its regulatory onboarding processes. In light of the constantly changing global regulatory landscape, it set out to establish a best-in-class global markets regulatory onboarding initiative and invited multiple vendors to participate in a competitive tender process.
Fenergo’s Regulatory Onboarding solution was ultimately implemented to automate, streamline and standardize regulatory onboarding processes, data and documentation across six business segments. It also provided the bank with centralized know-your-customer, anti-money-laundering processes for regulatory onboarding, supporting regulatory frameworks such as FATCA, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, Canadian and Asian Derivative Regulations. The solution, which was implemented initially in Canada, US and UK, is designed to be easily extended to incorporate additional jurisdictions and/or regulatory requirements as they evolve in the future.
