Role: Product Owner

Reporting to: Delivery Head

Role Description

As Product Owner within our R&D organisation, you will play a lead role in the design and delivery of product solutions in line with our product vision and our customers' expectations. The role requires a strong focus on regulatory and operational aspects of client onboarding and lifecycle management within the Financial Services industry.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong software design and product delivery experience within the Financial Services or FinTech industry. The role may require travel to our customer locations world-wide, so flexibility to travel is required.

Requirements

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer and industry relationships through regular engagement on product requirements and solution designs
  • Partner with Product Management to remain aligned on our product vision and product priorities
  • Contribute to, and influence our roadmap priorities based on industry and customers' needs
  • Own and communicate the vision for prioritised features to the delivery team
  • Manage the scope and design of product priorities to deliver tangible incremental business value to new and existing customers
  • Drive customer and user engagement by encouraging a 'Design Thinking' approach to the design process, focusing on business outcomes and value
  • Validate business requirements and functional designs with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the design process
  • Responsible for accepting the team's delivery as 'done', ensuring business value and industry needs are achieved
  • Partner with release management to ensure completeness and accuracy of product documentation, delivering valuable and reliable content to the reader
  • Facilitate all communications and knowledge transfer activities required by stakeholders to understand the delivered functionality
  • Coach, mentor and lead other product design resources
  • Support and champion the implementation of best practice approaches to product delivery within the company


Required Experience, Skills & Education

  • 5+ years' experience in a product delivery role within the Financial Services or FinTech industry
  • Specific experience working with Fenergo is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Management Consulting, Business Information Systems, Computer Science or a similar related qualification
  • Deep understanding of software development processes, particularly with respect to agile delivery
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, architectures and terminology, developed in the Financial Services/ FinTech industry
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, effective at decision-making
  • Advanced presentation and workshop facilitation skills
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior Business and IT leaders in our customer organisations and influence at all levels
  • Experience in Asset Management or Buyside will be highly desirable
