Role: Client Ops - Software Developer

Role Description

  • Primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer support service to Fenergo's clients worldwide
  • Support & maintenance of web applications based on .NET 4.5 technology
  • Interacting with customers remotely and on client sites
  • Investigation / analysis of Production defects to ascertain their root cause
  • Bug fixing
  • Develop change requests from detailed design specifications
  • Working with other developers to ensure deadlines are met
  • To be included on an Out of Hours rota to provide support to Fenergo clients in different timezones
  • Adhere to Fenergo coding standards
  • Managing the deployment of new releases
  • Mentoring of graduate and junior developers
  • Preparing technical specifications
  • Interacting with other teams within Fenergo

Requirements

Main Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years development experience
  • At least 2 years .NET ideally mostly of C#, ASP.NET 4.5, XML
  • Familiar with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience of working to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry an advantage
  • Degree or Diploma in Computing or similar related qualification


Knowledge Of:

  • DB Design & Optimisation, Stored Procedures, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Or experience with web services, Remoting, MSMQ while not essential is highly desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical and business problems/issues to a non-technical audience.
