Peter joined the board at Fenergo in August 2015. Having joined Insight as Managing Director in 1998, Peter specializes in mentoring management teams to foster technological change in order to produce greater productivity and deliver incremental value to customers. Peter also serves on the board of directors at Achieve3000, Aquant, Augury, BrightInsight, ComplianceQuest, Duco, HiveBright, Kira, LeaseAccelerator, Mediaspectrum, Nymbus, Planview, and Workforce Software. He is a well-known executive in the software industry and regularly speaks on industry panels.

Prior to Insight, Peter was President of Think Systems, an Insight portfolio company focused on supply chain management, which was acquired by i2 Technologies where Peter was elected Vice President of Business Development. He was also President of Datalogix, a vendor of enterprise application software for process manufacturers, and has held senior executive roles at Ross Systems, a provider of financial application software. Peter was part of the management teams that executed IPOs for both companies. Subsequently, as President of Datalogix, Peter led the sale of Datalogix to Oracle Corporation.

Founder and CEO, Marc is responsible for Fenergo’s business and operational strategy and corporate direction. With 18 years’ experience developing, selling and delivering enterprise financial technology to global banks, Marc has developed a proven track record of building successful business-winning and leadership teams. In 2020, Marc led a funding round of $80m with ABN AMRO Ventures and DxC Technology, at a post-money valuation of around $800m.  In 2015, he led an $85m funding round with Insight Venture Partners and Aquiline Capital Partners, marking the second fundraising effort for the company. In 2013, Fenergo secured €4m funding from Investec Ventures Ireland Limited.

Marc was recently named a Fintech 100 Most Influential Leader in recognition of the impact that Fenergo’s technology is having on the way financial institutions manage their compliance obligations and operational requirements. Marc is a software engineering and MBA graduate of Dublin City University.

Director

Paul Kerley is an entrepreneur and investor. Paul served as the CEO of Norkom Technologies, a global financial crime and compliance solutions provider, from its inception in 1998. He took the award-winning company public in 2006, following a successful IPO. Norkom was also ranked on the Global FinTech 100 listing of the world’s top financial technology firms and won critical acclaim from global analysts and industry publications. It was acquired by BAE Systems for €217 million in 2011.

Paul is a member of the Dublin City University Educational Trust and serves on the boards of a number of technology companies including SmartBin. Prior to this Paul was Chairman at The Fintech and Payments Association of Ireland (“FPAI”). Paul was named the Technology Person of the Year by the Irish Software Association (ISA) in 2009 and Ernst & Young’s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year back in 2000. He is a graduate of Dublin City University.

Cian joined the Fenergo board in 2015. He currently leads Insight Partners capital markets and capital formation activities, having joined the firm in 2003. Cian manages Insight Partner’s inbound deal flow from the banking sector and maintains relationships with the global investment banking and capital markets communities. Cian also  focuses on creating strategic outcomes for Insight’s portfolio companies including IPO preparation and execution, recapitalizations and M&A advisory. He leads Insight’s relationships with strategic acquirers in the software and Internet sectors and helps strengthen corporate and business development activities on behalf of Insight’s portfolio companies. During Cian’s tenure at the firm, six of Insight’s portfolio companies have achieved an IPO.

Cian sits on the boards of Fenergo, Mediaspectrum, Nymbus and Studio Moderna and has a BBS from the University of Limerick, Ireland and an MBA from HEC, France.

Matt Gatto joined the board at Fenergo in 2015. As a Managing Director with Insight Partners, Matt focuses on high-growth software and SaaS businesses across financial services, cyber security, healthcare and enterprise applications.

Prior to Insight, Matt’s career included online advertising optimization at Verizon Information Services, debt restructuring and issuance at Deutsche Bank Asia, and electronic communications risk management at Merrill Lynch. Matt graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School.

Spencer joined the Fenergo board in 2017, having spent 29 years in investment banking. Most recently, he was Vice Chairman of HSBC Global Banking & Markets. During his decade-long tenure with HSBC, Spencer held several senior roles such as Global Head of Debt Capital Markets and Acquisition Finance, Global Head of Markets (including FICC, equities and research), and Global Head is Capital Financing (all of HSBC’s investment banking products). Prior to HSBC, Spencer spent 17 years at Merrill Lynch in senior roles spanning real estate finance, investment banking, and debt capital markets between New York, Hong Kong and London. Before Merrill Lynch, Spencer worked for two years at JP Morgan in real estate investment banking.

In addition to Fenergo, Spencer is a founding partner at Element Ventures, advises and sits on a handful of boards of financial technology firms, and is an advisor to the International Capital Market Association (ICMA), having previous been Chairman and a member since 2011.
Spencer holds a B.A. in International Finance and Marketing from Suffolk University, Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Edward Ho joined the board of Fenergo in 2019 in conjuction with DXC Technology’s (NYSE: DXC) investment in Fenergo. As Executive Vice President and co-lead of DXC Technology Americas, Edward is responsible for driving growth and coordinating operations within that region.

Prior to DXC, Edward served as President of global payment solutions at D+H Corporation/ Finastra, a top five, global Fintech where he was responsible for leading and growing the market leadership of its global transaction banking business. Edward was also President and COO of Fundtech Corporation, a digital payments company owned by GTCR, a US-based private equity firm. He also served for nine years as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the capital markets division at Misys plc, a provider of banking, treasury, trading and risk management software solutions. Edward holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and computer science from Columbia College, and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
